A new look, a new year.

As of February 1, 2010, the layout of Mariah Carey that was featured on Falling Stars has been removed. It was way too bright, and started to give me headache’s during the day. It will be missed, but I felt that the month of February would fit the new layout perfectly.

I love MIa’s style, her whole persona is what attracts the hype crowd. She has her mellow moments (as shown in the image to my left) and her WOW moments, where she parades around the stage in outrageously bright colors. She’s an entertainer, no doubt. Her experimental taste in music is why I chose her to be featured on the new layout. In this layout, she is portrayed as innocent, with a hidden agenda (the hot pink and light blue) of life, something that reminds me of her song “Bucky Dun Gun”. Sometimes, when I’m bored, I would put on my bright pajamas (yes, I still wear pajamas) and dance to her music. Weird, I know, but there’s nothing like being in the confines of your own room, being able to do whatever you please. At least I know that I don’t risk the troubles of being judged for the things I do lol. So back to the pajama party. Sometimes me and my sister would both imitate MIA and Santogold in their song “Get It Up”. I, of course, would be Santogold (she’s one of my idols) and my sister would be MIA. We would use her hair brushes as microphones, and stand in front of my big mirror. She would wear her red shades, and I would have on my thick black hoodie that zips up in the front all the way to the head. We try to look like this(click). We fail miserably, but it’s fun. We get a good laugh, then afterwords take some pictures. I love my little sister, she keeps me laughing. ♥

Saturday night, it snowed. Then today, we had a 2 hour delay. I stayed home, and was forced to deal with the constant verbal attacks from my dad. If I weren’t mistaken, I’d swear that my father was actually losing his mind. But then again that’s my dad, and I’m quite sure he’s been this way all of his life. From the stories that my Aunt and Uncle’s would tell me, my dad was a funny guy. I love him none the less, though.

So tomorrow, I hope that my Work Study teacher is back in school. After hearing that my English teacher would not be returning (having just lost her husband over Thanksgiving Break) I was hoping that she would come back. Our new teacher is outgoing, no doubt, but a little lose at the top of the head. My work study teacher was complaining that her kidney’s were hurting, and hasn’t been back to school since week before last. I really hope she’s doing alright.
